We have such a great 'crew' here at Pooki's, we are one big happy family, literally!
As Pooki's creator and owner I couldn't be happier to share this journey with my sister, my aunt, my mother and my friends. I thought you might like to get to know us, so please let me introduce you to the Pooki's team.

Jude & Deb
The buying team
Mum & friend
1. "Buying team" that sounds fun?
Judy:*laughs* Yes and no, I offered to meet with the reps and fashion houses in Melbourne while Estelle (my daughter) and the girls worked the store, it's a time consuming and tiring couple of days when I head over to Melbourne but I'm lucky that my good friend Deb doesn't mind coming with me, it's great to get a second opinion especially from someone you trust. I used to work in retail, it never leaves you, I loved it then and I still love coming into the store and having a chat with the customers.
2. Best and worst thing about buying?
Judy: The best would have to be getting to see all the new fashions and choosing which will go well in the store, it's a bit exciting really. Melbourne cafes, we love to stop for a coffee at the end of the day.
The worst; walking, walking and more walking! and then the steaming and ironing when all the orders get delivered.
3. What has been your favourite buy so far?
Trench coats! I don't think they ever really go out of fashion, they look lovely on and in Tasmania we need a good coat come the Winter!
Deb:
1. What is the best 'find' for this season so far?
For the store; scarves! they come in a great range of colours, they are long and warm, there is something for everyone.
Fir myself; I found a great pair of black ankle boots.
2. Melbourne, meeting the fashion houses, that must be fun. What do you enjoy most?
Yes it's a great deal of fun and a great deal of hard work but the people you meet make it all worth while and I just love seeing what's new!
3.You are a familiar face around the store, we love it when you pop in, what's your favourite section?
I love it all! Pooki's has been a real asset to George Town. But I must say I am addicted to the china! I feel like a kid in a candy store every time a box of china comes in.
